Job Description:

Part time IKEA Food Assistant (Restaurant) at IKEA Sukhumvit, supporting customer interactions, food preparation, inventory management, and sales optimization. The role requires a strong customer focus, communication skills, teamwork, and a passion for food and people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure that customers are always in focus and strive to make them smile by supporting with an attitude based on the IKEA values
  • act as a good ambassador for the IKEA store in all contact with customers and give them a good reason to return again and again
  • see your area through the eyes of customers and have a daily dialogue with them to get continuous feedback about their experiences and to learn more about their needs and wants
  • be passionate about products and actively learn about their content, origins, and other benefits, and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues
  • optimize sales by knowing the top-selling products, supporting range changes, preparing the readiness of your area, contributing to the department’s action plan as well as in-store activities, taking an active interest in local competition and providing relevant input to manager regarding range and pricing
  • comply with and follow internal rules, policies, and daily operational routines set by management
  • be responsible for the delivery of merchandise to customers
  • ensure efficient and timely delivery of all products
  • maintain inventory levels at warehouse level according to company standards using inventory management systems or approved processes
  • ensure proper handling of goods on site using appropriate tools and software systems
  • execute IKEA store operations and contribute to aligning operations with Functional Commercial Review standards.

Requirements:

  • Commit to a 24-hour work week (6 hours per day, excluding 1 hour break, 4 days a week), as well as shift-work
  • available to work on at least two weekdays as well as Saturday and Sunday
  • sales-driven and passionate about food and people
  • experience in food management and industry and willing to learn new skills
  • enjoy working in a vibrant fast-paced retail environment
  • service-minded and always keep the customer in focus
  • flexible and open to change
  • confident in approaching and talking to people in a friendly manner
  • take personal initiative and have good attention to details
  • good communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate with others
  • ability and willingness to learn new skills, both technical and non-technical
  • willingness to learn more about IKEA products
  • strong communication skills with customers, vendors and other departments as well as sales staff
  • computer literate, specifically in MS Office system.
