Job Description

As a senior IFRS Specialist (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s financial reporting landscape and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, transparency, and compliance. You act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contribute to strategic finance initiatives, and influence how complex business transactions are reflected across the Group. With your deep expertise and strong communication skills, you drive harmonization, strengthen governance, and elevate the maturity of IFRS application throughout the global organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide authoritative guidance on complex IFRS matters and lead decision‑making discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Develop, refine, and govern Group‑wide accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across all subsidiaries
  • Oversee key reporting cycles and support the preparation of high‑quality notes, disclosures, and technical accounting documentation
  • Anticipate regulatory developments, assess their strategic impact, and drive the implementation of new IFRS standards
  • Act as the primary technical counterpart for auditors and internal finance leadership during closing cycles and strategic projects
  • Deliver advanced IFRS trainings and mentor finance teams globally to strengthen knowledge and compliance
  • Contribute to major transformation initiatives, including process optimization, system enhancements, and improvements to financial governance

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field, ideally complemented by a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Wirtschaftsprüfer)
  • Several years of experience in IFRS‑focused roles, such as group reporting, audit, or technical accounting
  • Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of IFRS standards and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, pragmatic solutions
  • Strong strategic mindset with the capacity to assess business impacts and advise senior leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills and a precise, structured way of working with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communication style and the ability to build credibility across cultures, functions, and hierarchical levels
  • Fluent English skills
