Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Manager with strong IFRS expertise who will play a key role in providing high-level technical accounting support, advisory services, and financial reporting expertise

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing detailed advisory reports and technical accounting memoranda, providing guidance on complex financial reporting matters and transactions
  • Conducting in-depth research on financial reporting standards and regulations, with a strong focus on IFRS and GAPSME
  • Preparing and reviewing consolidation workings and group reporting packages in line with IFRS and other applicable frameworks
  • Assisting clients in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and timely reporting
  • Supporting audit teams in addressing complex accounting transactions and responding to technical financial reporting queries
  • Delivering and contributing to training sessions on accounting standards and financial reporting requirements for clients and finance teams
  • Monitoring changes in accounting standards and local regulatory requirements, advising clients on implications and implementation strategies
  • Contributing to thought leadership initiatives, including drafting articles on financial reporting developments and emerging trends
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency in clients’ accounting and reporting processes and supporting the implementation of financial reporting modules within ERP systems

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME
  • Big 4 experience is essential
  • Currently operating at Manager level or equivalent
  • Strong experience in group consolidations and complex financial reporting matters
  • Proven ability to draft high-quality technical accounting memoranda and advisory reports
