Job Description:

A unique and exciting opportunity to join Cranstoun’s team to deliver our specialist victims/survivor interventions, Wakefield. Cranstoun’s victims service will provide immediate support and safety interventions for victims across the region of Wakefield and work in partnership with the IDART team at Havertop.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver specialist victims/survivor interventions
  • Provide immediate support and safety interventions for victims
  • Work in partnership with the IDART team at Havertop
  • Work as part of the Wakefield DASS (domestic abuse support service)
  • Offer a range of interventions to Victim/survivors including immediate safety planning, referrals to MARAC, identifying safe accommodation and emotional support
  • Work with communities and professionals to raise awareness of the issues
  • Offer effective interventions
  • Challenge values and attitudes that create conducive environments for domestic abuse to continue

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with Domestic Abuse or a related area
  • Experience of working on group work programmes
  • Experience delivering training
  • Experience in community work
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS check against relevant barred lists
