Job Description:

The Warrington Domestic Abuse (DA) Hub has an exciting opportunity to recruit for a IDVA to work with high and medium risk victims of domestic abuse aged 16+. The DA Hub delivers 5 services: IDVA service, Domestic Abuse Outreach service, Young Person’s Advocacy service, Child to Parent Abuse service and multiagency and single agency training across the borough. The role will be based from Time Square which is centrally located in the Town Centre, with the requirement to undertake face to face visits across Warrington.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, with the primary aim of increasing their safety and reducing the risk of harm from abuse
  • Undertaking risk assessments, developing and reviewing safety plans, managing a caseload, advocating for victims ensuring their voice is represented in decision making processes

Requirements:

  • Experience of providing practical and emotional support, advice to victims/vulnerable groups and advice and guidance to professionals
  • IDVA qualification or Level 3 Qualification in childcare/child development, health & social care, counselling or other related professional qualifications/experience
  • Strong assessment skills, and able to communicate effectively
  • Able to prioritise own workload and manage time effectively
  • Strong emotional resilience
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and information-sharing protocols with a commitment to reflective practice
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is necessary for the role
