We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced critical care environment. This role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in high-acuity settings and demonstrates strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach. The ICU RN will deliver safe, evidence-based care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
Continuously assess patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and respond appropriately to rapidly changing situations
Administer medications, manage life-sustaining equipment, and monitor complex patient conditions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
Demonstrate strict adherence to patient confidentiality and regulatory standards
Support a collaborative team environment through effective communication and professional role modeling
Provide age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development across the lifespan
Promote patient safety, dignity, respect, and overall well-being
Requirements:
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Certifications must be obtained through AHA or RQI
Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
CPI certification within 90 days of hire
Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-acuity environment
Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Computer literacy required
Nice to have:
Emergency Nursing or Critical Care specialty certification within 2 years of hire
TNCC within 2 years of hire
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Experience using electronic medical record systems
