Job Description:

To provide technical support to the ICT Manager regarding IT facilities and equipment, including electronic document control systems and the ongoing development of the Company’s IT infrastructure. To assist the ICT Manager with provision of services, equipment and facilities in support of the business. Building structure/maintenance, telephone/IT systems and upkeep/maintenance of Emergency Response Plan.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support to the ICT Manager regarding IT facilities and equipment, including electronic document control systems and the ongoing development of the Company’s IT infrastructure
  • Assist the ICT Manager with provision of services, equipment and facilities in support of the business
  • Ensure quality, value and fulfilment from external service/suppliers to NSG’s facilities
  • Development of Company systems to enhance current and new procedures
  • Process improvements in respect of IT solutions to the business and management problems
  • Development, installation and support of database records
  • Identification and liaison with management team on options to enhance and improve Company performance
  • Technical support and training of NSG IT users
  • Interface with the Company’s chosen IT provider
  • Establish monthly Core communication posts to satisfy business needs
  • Assist the projects team with deliverables when required
  • Support site projects with IT technical support
  • Management of personnel identification cards and door access control fobs
  • Ensure all leaver network account closed in line with termination dates
  • Delivery of proven systems Group and site wide including commissioning, support and training
  • Help to ensure the right contracts/contractors are providing the best service at competitive prices
  • Identify future requirements in line with the business
  • Support to NSG remote sites
  • Assist NSG security team in maintaining relevant accreditations
  • Maintain compliance with company data protection policies and procedures in line with legislation

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 in Computer Technology or equivalent
  • Database administration & management

  • Able to adhere to strict guidelines and time boundaries for reporting information

  • Able to organise and prioritise own work
