Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled ICT Project Managers to lead and support the successful delivery of ICT projects within the Australian Government sector.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects in line with government policies and frameworks (e.g. PGPA Act, Digital Service Standard)
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, solution architects, developers, and external vendors
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across government departments, ensuring transparent communication and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to change management and procurement processes within a government context
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required to achieve desired outcomes

Requirements:

  • Experience (7+ years) managing ICT projects in the public sector, ideally within an Australian Government department or agency
  • Strong understanding of ICT delivery frameworks, Agile and/or PRINCE2 methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate government procurement, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Australian Citizens ONLY
  • NV1 clearance required

Nice to have:

Experience running projects against PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight strategies and frameworks
