We are seeking highly skilled ICT Project Managers to lead and support the successful delivery of ICT projects within the Australian Government sector.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects in line with government policies and frameworks (e.g. PGPA Act, Digital Service Standard)
Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, solution architects, developers, and external vendors
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports
Manage stakeholder expectations across government departments, ensuring transparent communication and reporting
Ensure adherence to change management and procurement processes within a government context
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required to achieve desired outcomes
Requirements:
Experience (7+ years) managing ICT projects in the public sector, ideally within an Australian Government department or agency
Strong understanding of ICT delivery frameworks, Agile and/or PRINCE2 methodologies
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to navigate government procurement, compliance, and reporting requirements
