Job Description

The Ice Cream Scooper is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service to guests while preparing and serving ice cream treats. This role ensures high-quality presentation, maintains cleanliness, and supports a welcoming environment consistent with the guest experience standards at Union Creek Resort.

Job Responsibility

  • Greet all guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly service
  • Explain available flavors and menu items
  • offer recommendations when needed
  • Ensure all food is served in a clean, appealing manner
  • Scoop and portion ice cream accurately following established standards (e.g., double scoop portions)
  • Prepare cones, bowls, waffle cones, and add toppings as requested
  • Follow all HACCP and food safety procedures, including proper handwashing and glove use
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized work area, service counter, utensils, and equipment
  • Restock ice cream, cones, toppings, napkins, and supplies throughout the shift
  • Assist with opening and closing tasks, including cleaning, dishwashing, and waste removal
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, kitchen staff, and management
  • Support other roles during peak times as needed, in alignment with Union Creek’s cross-functional service model.

Requirements

  • Previous food service experience preferred but not required—training is provided
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
