Join our team as an IBM Z Workload Scheduler Specialist Engineer, where you will play a key role in managing and optimizing enterprise workload automation on mainframe platforms. Job Responsibility:
Administer and maintain IBM Z Workload Scheduler infrastructure to ensure continuous and reliable service availability
Implement and enforce compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements for mainframe scheduling environments
Perform configuration, upgrades, and patching of scheduling infrastructure in accordance with change management processes
Develop and maintain automation scripts using REXX and other relevant tools to support infrastructure operations
Collaborate with application, operations, and infrastructure teams to support business requirements and ensure alignment with compliance standards
Document infrastructure procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for operational continuity and audit readiness
Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for scheduling infrastructure
Provide on-call standby support and support occasional weekend maintenance activity
Requirements:
Experience with IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IWS/TWSz/OPC) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in z/OS mainframe environments, including JCL, SDSF, and TSO/ISPF and REXX scripting language
Knowledge of workload automation concepts, batch scheduling, and job dependencies
Understanding of mainframe security frameworks such as ACF2 and RACF
Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures for scheduling environments
Awareness of ITIL processes and compliance requirements in regulated environments
Nice to have:
Experience with automation pipelines and tools such as Ansible and Jenkins
