Job Description

An IBM Maximo Architect plays a crucial role in leading the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable asset management solutions that optimize maintenance operations, inventory, and supply chain lifecycles for our clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end technical and functional architecture for IBM Maximo suite implementations
  • Drive the roadmap and execution for clients upgrading from Maximo v7.x or other versions to the latest Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9) on Red Hat OpenShift
  • Design complex integrations between Maximo and external enterprise systems using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, and Kafka
  • Guide clients on minimizing customization by leveraging out-of-the-box functionality, Automation Scripts, and Workflows
  • Maintain and share expertise in 2 or more industries served by Maximo
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor technical teams
  • Facilitate technical and functional workshops with stakeholders
  • Be a thought leader in the Asset Management and IBM Maximo space
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-level architectural issues related to system performance, database tuning, and mobile connectivity
  • Assist the Sales and Management teams by participating in Sales cycles

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Maximo Asset Management across 2 or more industry verticals
  • At least 3 years in a Lead Architect or Solution Architect role
  • Demonstrated knowledge or hands-on experience with MAS 7-9X installation, configuration, and the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
  • Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, PL/SQL, XML, and Maximo Automation Scripting (Jython/Python)
  • Deep understanding of the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including Object Structures, Enterprise Services, Publish Channels, and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
  • Proficiency with enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2), including complex query writing and performance tuning
  • Proven track record of leading at least 2-3 full lifecycle Maximo implementations

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure hosting Maximo
  • Experience with Asset Management in multiple Industrials (Utilities, Energy), Warehousing, Logistics, Retail Distribution, Transportation/Logistics or Manufacturing environments
  • Experience implementing mobile solutions such as Maximo Mobile or IBM Maximo Anywhere
  • IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management (v7.6 or v8 required, v9 preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models and using tools like Jira or Confluence
