Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality IB Psychology lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework and assessment criteria
  • Create an engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking, research skills, and ethical awareness
  • Support students with Internal Assessments and Extended Essays related to Psychology, ensuring strong research design and academic integrity
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with IB standards, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and consistency across the IB programme
  • Provide academic guidance to students as needed in relation to university pathways and subject choices
  • Support elements of the university application process in collaboration with the College Counselling team
  • Participate in university events, information sessions, and parent workshops when required

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or a related field
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching IB Psychology or a similar curriculum at the upper-secondary level
  • Demonstrated experience in college counselling, academic advising, or university admissions
  • In-depth knowledge of global higher education systems (North America, UK, Europe, and Latin America)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide students and engage parents effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (native or near-native level)
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people in both academic and personal growth
  • Enthusiasm for living and working in Latin America and contributing to a diverse, international school environment
