Ib Portuguese Teacher

• Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based Portuguese lessons that foster critical thinking, international-mindedness, and student agency, ensuring all learners are inspired, challenged, and supported
• Plan, prepare, and implement units of inquiry aligned with IB philosophy, including MYP/DP frameworks, assessment criteria, and Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL) skills
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress using IB assessment practices, providing timely, constructive feedback that promotes reflection and continuous improvement
• Create a positive, inclusive, and concept-driven learning environment that supports well-being, academic excellence, and respect for cultural and linguistic diversity
• Contribute to the pastoral and holistic development of students, supporting their personal, social, and emotional growth in line with IB learner profile attributes
• Use digital tools and learning technologies effectively to enhance inquiry, collaboration, and communication within the classroom
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the IB coordination team to ensure consistency, alignment, and the highest standards of learning and teaching
• Engage in ongoing professional development, reflecting on practice, embracing innovation, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of the IB programme

• Be well-qualified, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to the principles and values of the International Baccalaureate
• Be an excellent inquiry-driven classroom practitioner, capable of ensuring meaningful progress for all students through differentiated, concept-based teaching
