Our team is growing, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IB Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary team in August 2026. The successful candidate will foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding, empowering students to see mathematics as both a creative and analytical discipline. Job Responsibility:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation and/or Analysis and Approaches, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework
Inspire students to engage with mathematical concepts through inquiry, real-world application, and interdisciplinary connections
Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and curiosity in mathematics
Guide students through Internal Assessments and prepare them effectively for external examinations
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress using clear and constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching strategies within the Mathematics Department
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote cross-curricular learning
Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities
Promote The Wingate School’s values of respect, integrity, and global citizenship
Requirements:
A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
