Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based lessons for IGCSE and IB DP English Language & Literature.
Prepare students for Cambridge and IB examinations through rigorous assessment and timely feedback.
Differentiate teaching to support a diverse international student body, including EAL learners.
Support students with IB-specific requirements, including Internal Assessments (IA), the HL Essay, and Extended Essays (EE).
Work with the English team to develop innovative schemes of work and shared resources.
Use educational technology to enhance literary analysis and student engagement.
Serve as a Form Tutor, monitoring student wellbeing and maintaining regular communication with parents.
Lead extracurricular activities such as Debating, Public Speaking, or Creative Writing.
Actively participate in the wider school life, including house events, staff meetings, and professional development.
Requirements
A university degree in English, English Literature, or a related field, plus a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or the IB Diploma Programme in an international school setting.
Native or near-native English proficiency.
