Job Description

H.B. Fuller seeks an I&E Technician in Fridley, MN to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. This role supports safe, reliable operation of adhesive manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the technician troubleshoots, installs, and improves plant equipment and systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform work in compliance with safety standards and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Maintain PLCs, VFDs, motors, panels, and control devices
  • Calibrate flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments
  • Execute preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Install and commission electrical systems and components
  • Verify system performance after repairs
  • Document work in CMMS and identify downtime reduction improvements

Requirements

  • 4+ years industrial electrical experience
  • Knowledge of power distribution, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting of 480V systems within 120 days
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years industrial electrical experience in manufacturing
  • NFPA 70E training
  • experience with LOTO and arc flash safety
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA, batch systems, or PID tuning
  • Experience documenting maintenance and root cause in CMMS
