Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic Maintenance team where you will take on a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our site facilities and equipment through strategic planning and scheduling of maintenance activities. As I&E Maintenance Planner you will play a critical role in coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal production downtime.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks are planned in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards to ensure provision of a safe working environment including the Company’s obligations under COMAH legislation
  • Coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal production downtime
  • Developing preventive maintenance plans, managing work orders, tracking equipment history, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Collaboratively working with maintenance technicians and production teams to allocate resources efficiently and prioritise tasks based on urgency and impact

Requirements

  • Diagnosing the cause of equipment problems as described in work requests
  • Scoping of maintenance activities and production of job packs
  • Checking materials, spares, tools and equipment are available, and work orders are ready to execute
  • Managing the backlog of outstanding, unplanned work
  • To utilise the computerised maintenance management system in accordance with business maintenance policy
  • To prepare, collate, review and file reports of work done, equipment technical drawings, data and settings, spares descriptions and hierarchy in electronic and paper filing systems
  • To update job packs with feedback from the Maintenance Execution team of improvements in work task preparation and execution
  • Identify opportunistic/self-plan defects which don’t require input from the planning team
