Job Responsibility

Scientific support in the design, development, and operation of Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) systems for use on Realta’s fusion devices
Conduct detailed simulations of ion source plasma dynamics, grid extraction physics, beam transport, and optics design
Support neutral beam transport and heat deposition calculations
Support the commissioning and operation of NBI systems deployed in experimental devices, including WHAM, NBI test systems, and Anvil
Support integration of high-voltage power supplies, vacuum systems, and beam dumps
Develop diagnostics for the NBI plasma and beam, including secondary electron emission detectors, calorimeters, langmuir probes and optical diagnostics
Collaborate closely with external and internal cross-disciplinary teams including theory & modeling, experimental, engineering, and facilities to integrate NBI systems
Ensure that all reactor development activities are conducted in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations
Conduct safety analyses and risk assessments related to reactor operation
