Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated I-Beam Operative to join our team in Harlow Timber Systems (Eastern) Ltd, Halstead, CO9 2SZ. The I Beam Operative plays a crucial role in the production process, handling timber-engineered joists and ensuring efficient and precise processing. This includes safely transporting materials to designated work areas, organising them for efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. The operative is responsible for operating saws to cut timber-engineered joists to specified dimensions and requirements, ensuring the accuracy and quality of every cut to meet production standards. Quality control is a key aspect of the role, with the operative inspecting materials for defects or irregularities both before and after cutting and reporting any issues to supervisors for corrective action.
