Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced L3 Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) and Linux Specialist to support and manage advanced operations for hyper-converged infrastructure platforms and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have in-depth technical expertise in VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, HPE Simplivity, and Linux systems. This role requires advanced problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless infrastructure operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide advanced-level support in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Simplivity, Nutanix, VxRail, and Linux environments
  • Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, including VMware ESXi, vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Linux
  • Configure and maintain high-availability solutions, storage systems, and disaster recovery solutions for HCI and Linux environments
  • Act as the final escalation point for resolving complex technical issues
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced issues related to vSphere storage, networking, and plugins
  • Conduct advanced performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization for HCI platforms, Linux servers, and virtualization environments
  • Lead the integration of HCI solutions with third-party tools and applications
  • Design and implement automation scripts using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Provide mentorship to L1 and L2 engineers
  • Develop and maintain documentation for HCI and Linux infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices

Requirements:

  • Expertise in VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter, including troubleshooting vSphere storage, networking, and plugin issues at an advanced level
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, including performance tuning, kernel troubleshooting, file system management, and network configurations
  • Strong technical understanding of HCI platforms, including Dell VxRail, Nutanix AHV/AOS, and HPE Simplivity
  • Proficiency in disaster recovery solutions, high-availability configurations, and backup integrations for HCI and Linux systems
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash scripting
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve highly complex technical issues independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
