We are seeking a motivated and experienced Hygiene Team Leader to join our dayshift team at our facility in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This pivotal role focuses on overseeing hygiene operations and ensuring our production environments maintain exceptional cleanliness standards. The Hygiene Team Leader for the dayshift will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of hygiene staff, ensuring adherence to established cleaning protocols and compliance with health and safety regulations. Shift & Hours of Work: Dayshift- 4 on 4 off 6AM-6PM
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the hygiene team, delegating tasks and monitoring the execution of cleaning schedules
Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and identify areas for improvement
Provide training and support to hygiene staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable in best practices and safety protocols
Coordinate with management to arrange cleaning schedules that align with production needs
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, audits, and compliance to provide thorough reports to management
Ensure stock levels of cleaning supplies are managed effectively, reordering as necessary to maintain operations
Foster a culture of hygiene awareness and safety within the team
Participate in meetings focused on continuous improvement initiatives concerning hygiene practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in a hygiene or cleaning leadership role within a food production environment
In-depth knowledge of hygiene standards and health and safety regulations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively
Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication skills for effective interactions with staff at various levels
Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude
