Job Description:

To fulfil the role of Hygiene team leader responsible for the day-to-day management of a day-based hygiene team covering low risk, high risk, Despatch and site service areas. Reporting directly to the Hygiene Manager and working closely with factory operational management and the technical and engineering departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • To lead a team of Hygiene and Site Services operatives ensuring they are complying with all hygiene standards implemented, and that they are all trained on relevant procedures
  • To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • To respect and honor the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times
  • Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site
  • To ensure and when needed all slicing machines are cleaned in the correct manner and to schedule
  • To carry out ATP swabbing after all relevant clean downs
  • Ensure that all documentation for line clean downs is filled out and that this has been verified by someone who did not conduct the clean down
  • To ensure that all chillers are cleaned in the correct manner and to schedule
  • To ensure that all High Care floor areas are kept free from all debris at all times
  • All hand towels, soap and dispensers are adequately filled at all times during production
  • Ensure that all stock is rotated, and ordering of stock is done well in advance to ensure there is an ongoing supply
  • Knife holders are filled to correct levels and sanitiser is changed at the required frequency
  • Ensure all walls, sinks, dispensers etc. are clean at all times to the level expected in a food production area
  • Any other tasks provided by Hygiene Manager/Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Food Safety Level 3 preferable
  • HACCP Certificate
  • Health and Safety at Work
  • Chemical Handling
  • Experience with roles that require working closely with other members within a team
  • Experience in stock rotation and Problem solving / Analytical ability
  • Experience with Hygiene consumables and ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and make decisions
  • Excellent organisational skills and Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
