Hygiene operative

• Carry out cleaning of machinery, equipment and factory areas in line with procedures
• Clean both internal and external areas of the site as required
• Ensure all areas are fully cleaned and ready for production
• Follow all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
• Use chemicals and equipment safely in line with instructions
• Report any hazards, faults or concerns to management
• Ensure all tasks are completed and signed off correctly
• Work to strict food safety, hygiene and quality standards
• Support the site in achieving audit-ready standards at all times
• Work closely with Hygiene, Production, Technical and Engineering teams
• Attend training and continuously develop knowledge and skills

• Previous experience in hygiene, cleaning or food production (desirable but not essential)
• Understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable with good timekeeping
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
