Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating hydrovac trucks to excavate and expose underground utilities while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate hydrovac trucks and associated equipment for excavation tasks
  • Ensure the safe operation of heavy machinery including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, graders, and water trucks
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition
  • Collaborate with team members to execute excavation projects efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Assist with horizontal drilling operations as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential, including familiarity with Caterpillar machinery
  • Commercial driving experience is required
  • a valid commercial driver’s license is preferred
  • Previous construction site experience is highly desirable, with skills in paving and tanker operations being an asset
  • Knowledge of hydrovac operations and safety protocols is a plus
  • Experience working with various types of excavation equipment such as graders and water trucks will be beneficial
