The Functional Calibration Team determines whether an engine and its subsystems are functioning according to established standards while the engine operates in its intended environment. Job Responsibility:
Prepare test plans, execute development tests and perform complex analysis of Engine and Aftertreatment systems and their controls
Focus on Engine and Aftertreatment calibration activities to meet functional and performance related requirements
Document and evaluate test results
Coordinate test set-up and test execution
Develop new test procedures for engine and aftertreatment systems and their controls
Supervises procedures and processes within the organization to achieve department and project objectives
Active contribution to improve test efficiency and test quality
Collaboration in project teams
Requirements:
Knowledge of Hydrogen and/or liquid gas development is important
Knowledge of internal combustion engines incl. spark ignited and related sub-systems
In depth knowledge of modern control strategies and electronics
Knowledge on thermodynamics and fluid dynamics is mandatory
Experiences with calibration work packages related to natural gas or hydrogen engines
Familiar with measurement techniques for temperature, pressure, flow and data analysis
Experience with test setups of spark ignition engines (natural gas or hydrogen) and associated safety measures
Enthusiasm to deal with complex engine systems and development of solutions for complex technical challenges
Excellent communication skills
High level of professionalism and proactivity
Able to work in a complex project oriented environment
Good English skills are mandatory combined with willingness to learn Dutch
