Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to oversee financial operations at our manufacturing plant in East Flat Rock, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost accounting, standard cost analysis, and month-end financial processes to ensure accurate reporting and effective financial management. This role requires a proactive individual who can support strategic decision-making and streamline accounting practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all aspects of manufacturing cost accounting to provide accurate financial insights
  • Perform detailed standard cost analysis to ensure proper valuation of inventory and alignment with company goals
  • Oversee month-end closing processes, including preparation of financial reports and reconciliation of accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial controls and optimize operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to guide strategic planning
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and attention to detail
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting, with a strong understanding of industry practices
  • Proficiency in standard cost accounting and inventory valuation methods
  • Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes effectively
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and tools, including proficiency in Eaton systems
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate across departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and corporate accounting standards
