Job Description:

Product engineer within the Supply chain/operations group working on Hybrid Cloud products delivering new product introductions to our manufacturing operations, drive Early Engineering Engagement to influence product design, NPI implementation and released product support. Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure all needed supply chain procedures, methods, bill of materials and tests are in place to deliver new Hybrid Clouds Products and solutions
  • Working with the manufacturing teams, ensure new Hybrid products are defined, setup and validated during the NPI process
  • Triage and drive root cause/corrective action of issues during a NPI program or during released product support
  • Establish program quality goals, track product quality during NPI and post CTR, drive needed quality improvement actions
  • During post release phase, track key data/metrics and resolve issues impacting orders and product performance
  • Working closely with R&D partners to drive design for manufacturability and test based on feedback from prior generation products and supply chain partners
  • Support activities working with R&D partner groups on improvements that will improve supply chains ability to deliver new Hybrid Cloud products
  • Working closely with mfg test partners, define test requirements that deliver an efficient test process with the appropriate amount of test coverage to meet the desired quality goals
  • Define requirements for the setup of product ordering tools and validate correct implementation of these requirements
  • Create and implement the Manufacturing Verification Build plan for new product release
  • Support multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including design, validation, tooling and testing
  • Support implementation of innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members
  • Support released product assurance of supply and factory/customer quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Typically 4-6 years experience in manufacturing, New Product Introduction (NPI) or product engineering
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in overall architecture/design of hardware/firmware/software for products and solutions
  • Experience with supply chain/operations new product setup and released product support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
