Job Description:

Product engineer position within the supply chain/operations group to deliver new product introductions, drive early engineering engagement to influence product design, NPI implementation, and support released products. Contributions include solving technical problems, leading projects, and driving improvements in supply chain processes.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure all needed supply chain procedures, methods, bill of materials and tests are in place to deliver new Hybrid Clouds products and solutions
working with the manufacturing teams, ensure new Hybrid products are defined, setup and validated during the NPI process
triage and drive root cause/corrective action of issues during a NPI program or during released product support
establish program quality goals, track product quality during NPI and post CTR, drive needed quality improvement actions
track key data/metrics and resolve issues impacting orders and product performance
working closely with R&D partners to drive design for manufacturability and test based on feedback from prior generation products and supply chain partners
define test requirements that deliver efficient test processes with adequate test coverage
create and implement the manufacturing verification build plan for new product release
support multiple project teams responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms
support released product assurance of supply and factory/customer quality issues.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
typically 4-6 years experience in manufacturing, New Product Introduction (NPI) or product engineering
strong leadership skills
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
experience in overall architecture/design of hardware/firmware/software for products and solutions
experience with supply chain/operations new product setup and released product support
excellent written and verbal communication skills
ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues suggesting proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels
strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

Experience with agile methodology
knowledge of design thinking
ability to support activities working with R&D partner groups on improvements that will improve supply chain's ability to deliver new Hybrid Cloud products
ability to define requirements for setting up product ordering tools.
