Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support operations at a large commercial and industrial facility. In a safe, efficient, and professional manner, the HVAC Technician will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and demonstrate strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and monitoring of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAVs, DDC controls, and ventilation systems
Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency
Read, interpret, and apply sequences of operation, control schematics, blueprints, service manuals, and maintenance documentation
Analyze HVAC system malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely and accurate manner
Document all findings, repairs, adjustments, and recommended future work in detailed service reports
Complete and close service reports only after client satisfaction is confirmed
Maintain accurate logs and records, including equipment operating logs, lubrication logs, refrigerant logs, inventory of filters, belts, spare parts, and chemical water treatment logs
Safely operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, service gauges, and test instruments
perform brazing of refrigerant piping and lubrication of motors, fans, and linkages
Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in clean, safe, and operational condition at all times
Order and stock appropriate materials, tools, and critical spare parts required for preventive maintenance and repairs
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and building maintenance as needed
Work closely with the CMMS planner/scheduler and provide recommendations to optimize preventive maintenance programs
Adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and job hazard analysis requirements
Participate in OEM training classes and seminars as assigned
Accurately complete timesheets and required documentation on time
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service work
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Certified 2-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license preferred
Proven experience working on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems
