Hvac Technician

• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration and cooling equipment, including walk-in freezers, upright and chest refrigerators, ice machines, milk and ice cream machines, and water coolers
• Perform preventive maintenance on complex systems such as chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, vacuum pumps, and related controls within large residence hall complexes
• Install, service, and maintain HVAC, air conditioning, heat pump, and energy management systems across residence halls and foodservice facilities
• Service electrical and plumbing components associated with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Maintain accurate records, organize tools, and actively contribute as an engaged and productive team member

• Requires two years of relevant experience
• Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by a hiring manager
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in trade
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• 4 years experience at the journeyman level
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• EPA Universal refrigerant certificate upon employment
• Prefer Journeyman Mechanical License
• Valid drivers license
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
