Amentum is seeking a HVAC Technician to support various naval vessels and associated life support operations and facilities. This role is part of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. As the HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of HVAC systems aboard various naval vessels to include 60-meter Offshore Support Vessels (OSV), 35-meter Patrol Boats (PB), and 26-foot Defender Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB). You will support the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment serving life support facilities comprised of living spaces, workspaces, recreational areas, and dining facilities. This is a full-time, in-country role operating on a 90/30 schedule. The work location will be at the Iraqi Naval Base in the port of Umm Qsar, Iraq.
Job Responsibility:
Installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems
Inspection and test of HVAC systems and components
Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to maintain system effectiveness and ensure system longevity
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems
Collaborate with management and logistics staff to coordinate logistics, procurement, and inventory management activities to ensure the timely availability of parts and materials to support HVAC maintenance and repair operations
Maintain records of HVAC maintenance and repair work performed
Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
Maintain, repair, or replace motors, pumps, condensers, and controls
Assist with customer queries and provide technical feedback and recommendations
Prepare records and reports detailing work performed
Participate in project support meetings, as required
Comply with all Contract Deliverable Requirement List (CRDL) requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
6 years of progressive experience in the servicing of ship or submarine systems including the planning of field services
4 years of experience servicing HVAC equipment aboard ships or submarines
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Must be proficient in English
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
Ability to obtain a country clearance and base pass authorization
US citizenship is required
Ability to possess an active passport at least two years after arrival in Iraq
Nice to have:
