Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support operations at a large commercial/industrial manufacturing facility in Neenah, WI. The HVAC Technician will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance while troubleshooting and servicing complex HVAC systems in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role requires experience with a broad range of HVAC equipment and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Job Responsibility:
Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, monitor, and document operation of HVAC equipment, including ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAVs, DDC controls, and ventilation systems
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and evaluate refrigerant system efficiency
Start and stop HVAC systems and safely operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges
Braze refrigerant piping and lubricate fans, motors, and mechanical linkages
Analyze HVAC system performance data, identify root causes of malfunctions, and implement corrective actions
Document all findings, repairs, adjustments, and recommended future work within service reports
Close service reports only after verifying client satisfaction
Maintain accurate equipment logs, lubrication records, refrigerant logs, inventory of filters, belts, spare parts, and chemical water treatment documentation
Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition
Order supplies and parts as required to support preventive maintenance and repair activities
Assist other mechanics and operators with major equipment and building repairs
Work with the CMMS planner/scheduler or provide recommendations to improve preventive maintenance programs
Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety practices, including proper use of PPE and completion of job hazard analyses prior to work
Attend OEM training classes and seminars as assigned
Accurately complete timesheets and required documentation in a timely manner
Communicate effectively with team members and site leadership to determine service needs
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency work as required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license preferred
Demonstrated experience working on industrial and commercial HVAC systems as required by job scope
