We are looking for a dedicated HVAC Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service department in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role requires a skilled leader who can effectively manage technician teams, optimize scheduling, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to driving operational success.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and guide HVAC technicians and support staff to achieve departmental goals
Supervise scheduling, dispatching, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure efficiency
Address escalated customer concerns and foster positive client relationships
Analyze budgets, track performance metrics, and recommend strategies for improvement
Ensure adherence to safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with sales and project teams to identify and develop new service opportunities
Recruit, onboard, and train technicians while supporting their growth and development
Manage inventory, oversee equipment procurement, and maintain vendor partnerships
Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports to senior management
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a commercial HVAC service department
In-depth technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and controls
Proven leadership skills with a track record of operational success
Strong customer service and conflict resolution capabilities
Understanding of financial management, including budgeting and P&L oversight
Preferred certifications in HVAC-related areas
Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and safety practices
Proficiency in service management software and Microsoft Office applications
