The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Foreman leads and participates in the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead HVAC crew(s) and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Coordinate schedules to ensure proper distribution of work and adequate staffing
Track, analyze, and report on progress, trends, and issues, and recommend solutions and improvements
Implement preventive maintenance programs for air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment
Train personnel on activities relating to air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance
Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment
Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source
May install, repair, and service up to twenty (20)-ton air conditioners
Requirements:
Minimum four (4) years of experience in HVAC field or related area
High School Diploma or equivalent
Expat: Trade certification in heating and air conditioning or proof of training/competency
EPA Section 608 Technician Certification Type(s) 1, 2, and/or 3 as required by duty assignment
FN: Trade certification in heating and air conditioning
verifiable host country certification in Freon Recovery/Recycling
Knowledge in principles of refrigeration, heating, and air handling
Knowledge and skill in hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in maintenance and repair
Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
