Kennedy Mechanical and Ryan Services are launching a new hands-on Technical Education Program, and we’re looking for an experienced HVAC and/or Plumbing professional—seeking a meaningful part-time role—who wants to share their knowledge, help shape the next generation of technicians, and leave a lasting impact. This flexible position runs weekday mornings and combines curriculum development, hands-on teaching, and helping refurbish and organize our expanded 3,000 sq ft training lab. Job Responsibility:
Develop and refine a hands-on curriculum for HVAC and Plumbing fundamentals
Create training modules, skills assessments, and OJT alignment
Establish learning paths for apprentices, techs in development, and cross-training
Deliver engaging technical training every morning
Provide one-on-one coaching, skills demos, and real-world scenarios
Support field managers in identifying future high-potential technicians
Help transform our 3,000 sq ft space into a fully functional learning environment
Assist with setting up demonstration units, equipment, piping, ductwork mockups, and training stations
Keep tools, equipment, and materials organized and ready for instruction
Requirements:
Deep field experience in Commercial/Residential HVAC or Plumbing (both is ideal, one is acceptable)
A passion for developing talent and sharing knowledge
Strong communication and coaching skills
A creative, hands-on, “let’s build it” mindset
Reliability—someone our team can count on every morning
Prior training or leadership experience is a plus, but not required
