Job Description

This position will be 2nd shift, the hours are from 2:00pm to 10:30pm and will be required to be on call every 4 weeks. Hours Per Week: 40.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system
  • Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed
  • Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure
  • Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems
  • Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision
  • Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance
  • Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments

Requirements

  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-4 Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures
  • Intermediate level computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance
  • Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance
  • Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions
  • Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
