Job Description

As a member of the HVAC team in AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that will make a real impact. Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Sweden, use cutting-edge technology, and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients. It is important that you are a team player that like to work in teams with different competences and that you are curious and eager to learn new things. In Sweden Places East we currently have some 80 HVAC designers. We work with a wide scope of assignments ranging from the planning-stage to execution of drawings for final construction. In general, we work in teams assigned to different projects, our engineers have a typical workload of 1-3 ongoing projects. The design-phase of our projects is a relatively set process with following main stages: Pre-design, Conceptual design, Detail design, As-Built drawings. We work with all kinds of buildings ranging from hospitals, offices, schools, datacentres and much more.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing and calculating HVAC systems
  • Coordinating HVAC systems with other key disciplines such as Architects, Structural and Electrical designers
  • Preparing drawings in MagiCAD and Revit
  • Preparing background material for pre-studies and feasibility reports

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering from a technical university
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering, with a focus on public and commercial buildings
  • Working knowledge gained from at least three large Revit design projects
  • Good written and verbal English skills (minimum CEFR level B1)
  • Good knowledge of all MS Office applications
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to make independent decisions

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of MagiCAD
  • Experience working abroad, especially on projects in the Nordic countries
  • Experience with 3D coordination (e.g. using software such as Solibri)
