Job Description

BCI’s engineers are the driving force behind understanding and solving each customer’s unique problems and expectations, and ultimately helping them to achieve their building automation controls goals with commercial HVAC, lighting and access systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Executing the design of temperature control systems.
  • Work with other team engineers in completing drawings and design packages while cross checking design details in electrical power, control panels, relay logic, wiring and control devices in association with HVAC, access, lighting and CCTV systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility and put into practical skills, leadership, and judgment from previous experiences.
  • Support software engineering and systems networking including programming, systems networks and communications.
  • Produce system layouts and controls design based upon construction documents
  • Generate Design Submittals, As-Builts and O&M packages
  • Obtain cut sheets, coordinate submittal process and O/M assembly
  • Ensure the design complies with contract drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Choose the correct devices for the correct applications while remaining within the specification.
  • Produce custom graphic packages for interface into the building automation system

Requirements

  • Experience in designing control systems for commercial HVAC applications
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural construction documents.
  • Experience with computer aided design software
  • Two- or Four-year degree in engineering, engineering technologies or related field
  • Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
  • Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
