We are seeking a dynamic Project Sales Representative to spearhead market expansion for a leader in the commercial refrigeration and mechanical contracting space. In this role, you won’t just be selling—you will be the technical architect of new business, conducting site assessments, gathering critical data, and translating complex requirements into winning proposals. This is a high-impact position designed for a professional who thrives on building relationships with developers and engineers while ensuring project delivery meets the highest standards of safety and technical excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors to expand the regional footprint
Conduct detailed onsite needs assessments and gather technical specifications to prepare accurate, competitive project proposals and estimates
Act as a trusted advisor to general contractors, architects, and developers, fostering long-term partnerships to influence project selection
Serve as the primary link between the client and internal engineering/project management teams to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables
Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all site visits and project designs adhere to rigorous safety management systems
Oversee the formal handover of completed projects to Account Managers to ensure continuous service and maintenance support
Requirements:
At least 5+ years of proven experience in business development, technical sales, or project management within the HVAC-R or mechanical contracting industry
A P.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (or eligibility for registration) OR a Journeyman HVAC-R Certificate with significant field experience
Advanced ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for complex mechanical systems
Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to present technical data confidently to diverse stakeholder groups
Must be willing and able to travel 30%–50% of the time to visit client sites and regional branch locations
