Hvac Assistant Supervisor

• Supervises and coordinates the work of the HVAC, Refrigeration, and Sheetmetal Technicians and Mechanics
• Makes hiring selections, ensures proper training, assigns schedules, directs technician in the installation, repair, and programming of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment
• Performs all administrative duties necessary to manage departmental workload assignments, maintain appropriate record keeping of materials, and refrigerant usage, and submit timecards for accurate labor charges
• Evaluate employee performance and determines standards for performance

• Solid knowledge and skills in the specialty craft supervised
• Solid supervisory skills to include organization, scheduling, assigning work and ensuring quality standards are met
• Solid financial skills to accurately project costs of potential jobs and to consistently complete work within established budgetary and time constraints
• Skills to actively promote and maintain safety standards
• Solid skills to effectively select and evaluate staff, and to appropriately handle disciplinary issues
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration License in the HVAC/Refrigeration
• Required to hold a valid drivers license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
