Job Description

Select Offshore is looking for multiple skilled HV Technicians to support the offshore commissioning phase of a major wind farm installation. Working offshore on rotation, you will be responsible for carrying out high-voltage commissioning and completion tasks on installed turbines, under the direction of Commissioning Supervisors and Managers. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and experience working with HV systems in a marine or offshore environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform HV commissioning tasks on wind turbines in accordance with project procedures
  • Execute testing, termination, and energization work as directed by commissioning leadership
  • Ensure work complies with safety protocols, WTSR (Wind Turbine Safety Rules), and industry standards
  • Support documentation, inspection, and system validation activities
  • Report technical issues and progress to Commissioning Supervisors
  • Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure timely completion of commissioning milestones
  • Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings
  • Maintain accurate records of all HV-related work

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-voltage electrical work on offshore wind or power projects
  • Competence in turbine HV systems, testing, and commissioning procedures
  • Offshore survival and medical certifications
  • Familiarity with OEM turbine systems and safety procedures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a large offshore team
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Experience under WTSR is preferred
