Job Responsibility

Maintain and service HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment
Conduct electrical testing and fault diagnosis
Prepare detailed quality reports and daily site reports
Perform mechanical modifications and repairs
Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to manufacturers’ standards
Proactively identify and report equipment faults
Test LV protection and generate precise reports of findings
Install HV/LV panels and transformers according to manufacturers’ standards

Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent
Pre-existing authorisation to work for midlands distribution network operator (NGED) - desirable
Distribution Network experience within the Electrical Supply Industry
Ability to give direction in application of Distribution Safety Rules, safety procedures and codes of practice in combination with health & safety legislation requirements
Familiarity with relevant network diagram software programs
Customer awareness and knowledge of DNO client expectations and how to meet/exceed these

May also have project manager responsibilities for a portfolio of projects ensuring their safe and timely delivery
