We are growing – join our Defence division with services starting in February 2026. We are proud to become a new Australian Department of Defence partner, offering career opportunities to support the delivery of Property and Asset Services across South Australia and the Northern Territory. We have opportunities available for qualified HV Electricians to join our Defence division and support with this contract. These are permanent full-time positions based at key sites across South Australia including including Edinburgh, Keswick and Woomera. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems across multiple defence bases in the region.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HV and LV electrical systems and equipment
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
Installing and commissioning electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Working closely with the EU Supervisor to coordinate and prioritise tasks and projects
Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to Health and Safety regulations and best practices
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs conducted on electrical systems
Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders as required
Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in working with both HV and LV electrical systems
Familiarity with Defence operations and the responsibilities of the Electrical Operating Authority
Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and issues
Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation
Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in an electrical environment
Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Valid driver's licence
Australian Citizen
Able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
