To support our continued growth, we are looking for a HV Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Middlesbrough.

Job Responsibility

  • Attend commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients engineering and operational teams
  • Undertaking Site Acceptance Testing for major items of plant
  • Commissioning and Maintenance of HV & LV Power Distribution systems
  • Produce accurate test documentation & records
  • Be able to read Schematic drawings & fault find
  • Work involves travelling and working away from home across the whole of the UK
  • Completion of commissioning records

Requirements

  • Must be familiar with Distribution and Transmission (up to 33kV) Level protection systems
  • Knowledge of Omicron numerical protection test equipment a distinct advantage
  • Familiarity of knowledge of Schneider / GE (Agile) / Siemens (Digsi 4 & 5) software packages would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to supervise and advise site installation teams on aspects of protection installation

  • Wide knowledge of Protection relays including Alstom, Schneider, Siemens including Settings input / PSL / CFC / Logic diagrams
  • Preparation of installation Cable Schedules and Core Sheets
  • Demonstration of commissioned plant to our client's representatives to gain plant sign off
  • Completion of commissioning records ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded for the O&M manuals
