Shape the Future of Humanities: Teacher Opportunity (SEND). Opened in September 2025, our brand-new secondary school in Chaldon is looking for a Humanities Teacher. This isn't just a classroom role; it's a chance to build a bespoke curriculum for students (ages 11-16) who thrive in non-traditional settings-specifically those with social communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs.
Job Responsibility:
Adapt & Inspire: Translate complex History and Geography concepts into engaging, sensory-friendly lessons for students with Autism and complex needs
Holistic Growth: Track progress through personalised targets and EHCP outcomes, focusing on the 'whole child' rather than just data points
Advocacy: Be the voice for your students in PEP and LAC reviews, ensuring their academic and social journey is supported
Expert Leadership: Manage the classroom with a calm, non-confrontational approach, acting as the subject lead for Humanities across our founding site and satellite location
Requirements:
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
A proven track record of differentiating the National Curriculum for SEND learners
A collaborative spirit
A Driving License
Nice to have:
A postgraduate qualification in Autism
Experience in de-escalation and supporting students with complex behavioural needs
What we offer:
£5,000 Welcome Bonus (Qualified Teachers)
Early Weekends: Reclaim your time with a 4:00 PM finish every Friday
