ROLE SUMMARY: To deliver high-quality instruction in Social Studies (Ijtima3iate), covering history, geography, and civic education, in accordance with the Moroccan curriculum, while helping students understand society, develop critical thinking, and become responsible citizens.
Job Responsibility
Deliver Social Studies lessons aligned with the Moroccan curriculum, covering history, geography, and civic education
Use interactive teaching methods to develop analytical thinking and student engagement
Design assessments and monitor student academic progress
Provide feedback and prepare students for national and regional exams
Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Encourage participation, discussion, and inquiry
Promote understanding of Moroccan identity and global awareness
Support critical thinking, civic responsibility, and student learning needs
Maintain accurate attendance and academic records
Participate in school activities and collaborate with colleagues
Requirements
Strong knowledge of history, geography, and civic education
Ability to develop students’ critical thinking and analytical skills
Effective communication and classroom management skills
Ability to use maps, documents, and visual materials effectively
Organizational and planning skills
Cultural awareness and ability to connect content to real-life contexts
Teamwork and collaboration
Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Teaching qualification (e.g., CRMEF certification in Morocco)
Previous teaching experience is an asset
Proficiency in Arabic (primary language of instruction in the Moroccan section)
knowledge of French is an advantage
Good understanding of the Moroccan Social Studies curriculum and exam system
