Humanities Teacher – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for Humanities Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings in Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons across subjects such as History, Geography, and RE
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different year groups and abilities
  • Follow school planning or create short-term lesson plans where needed
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Mark work and provide feedback when required
  • Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth handovers

Requirements

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Confident teaching Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional as a Humanities Teacher
  • Able to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
  • Experience in secondary settings preferred but not essential
