A leading independent school in Witham is searching for a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join its innovative team. This isn't just a teaching role; it's an opportunity to reignite a love of learning for young people aged 7-16 with autism and SEMH needs. Set within a supportive and therapeutic environment, you will help students navigate the world through history, geography, and social studies in a way that truly resonates with them.

Job Responsibility:

Craft & Deliver: Create engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
Foster Safety: Maintain a calm, supportive space where students feel secure enough to take risks
Collaborate: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to see the 'whole child'
Innovate: Use your creativity to implement personalised learning plans that see direct, rewarding results

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in a relevant Humanities subject
A compassionate, enthusiastic approach to SEND education
Dedication to the academic, social, and emotional development of every student

Nice to have:

Experience with autism and/or SEMH
