Robert Half seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist with strong payroll experience to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting daily HR operations while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This is a direct-hire position that offers full-benefits and a hybrid work schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and tax filings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, and status updates
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reporting
Support payroll audits and reporting requirements
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
Assist with employee relations matters and policy interpretation
Help coordinate performance management and training initiatives
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Requirements:
3+ years of HR experience with hands-on payroll processing
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and employment laws
Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
