We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support a manufacturing operation through a contract assignment. This role will serve as a key partner to site leadership, helping shape workforce strategies that strengthen employee performance, engagement, and operational effectiveness. The position is well suited for an HR specialist who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day employee support in a fast-moving plant environment.
Job Responsibility
Direct the full scope of human resources support for the manufacturing site, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and business priorities
Work closely with plant leaders to build workforce plans, address organizational needs, and support day-to-day operational goals
Advise managers on employee relations matters, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and leadership practices to promote a productive workplace
Oversee investigations, resolve workplace conflicts, and interpret company policies with consistency and sound judgment
Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and internal standards, including state and federal labor requirements
Strengthen talent processes by supporting performance reviews, succession planning, employee development, and retention efforts
Coordinate training activities that improve supervisory capability, employee skills, and overall site effectiveness
Assist with hiring efforts for both hourly and salaried positions and help maintain a strong candidate pipeline
Review HR data and workforce trends to recommend actions that improve engagement, retention, and performance
Provide guidance on compensation administration, onboarding activities, and HR systems such as Kronos, ADP Payroll, and Oracle
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
advanced degree or HR certification is preferred
At least 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility in a manufacturing setting
Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and coach leaders through complex people matters
Strong knowledge of federal employment regulations and Pennsylvania labor requirements, including wage and hour practices, leave administration, accommodations, and workplace safety expectations
Experience supporting talent management activities such as performance management, development planning, and succession discussions
Ability to use HR metrics and business insights to guide recommendations and workforce decisions
Familiarity with core HR processes including onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll coordination
Proficiency with HR technology platforms such as Kronos, ADP, and Oracle
