As the Human Resources Manager, you will provide HR generalist support for the American Dream Theater venue, Liberty Science Center, Turtleback Zoo and Verona Boathouse. This position will be based onsite at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ and is also responsible for providing management and administration of several imperative HR processes.
Job Responsibility:
Partners with operations leadership to proactively design and execute the People Experience Cycle: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding
Collaborates with operations, corporate TA, and others to ensure accurate job postings, consistent hiring events and partnerships with contingent staffing vendors
Leads positive employee relations efforts that support a respectful, inclusive, and high‑performance culture
Executes staffing and on-boarding processes for hourly and salaried employees
Ensures compliance with corporate/district level policies and federal/state governmental agencies
Communicates benefits, policy and other HR related changes
Trains and coaches management/supervisory staff in interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, counseling, diversity and inclusion, corrective action, and regulatory compliance
Manages and reports required HR business metrics
Leads resolution of employee relations' issues and conducts investigations as needed
Guide and process progressive disciplinary actions across departments in alignment with company policy
Conduct/facilitate and assist with training of hourly employees
Attend building safety meetings and Aramark safety meetings
Track employee training, manage HR records, and maintain accurate personnel files for audit readiness

Requirements:
HR/SPHR certification preferred
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required
Human Resources planning and organizational development experience desired
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent
Employment relations experience including conducting investigations and resolution development required
Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate and consult with multiple levels of management on a routine basis
Strong analytical skills are required
Ability to train and make presentations will also be required
Solid understanding of financial and business objectives and analytical/problem solving skills
Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Must take initiative to improve processes as needed
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
